Sub-material travel operators, colloquially known as sight-seers, were individuals of extreme muscular precision that were able to use their skills to direct sub-material travel to desired locations. Because sub-material travel relies on a lack of observation to send, and because the direction of transportation is exactly opposite to the last direction that the sending object was observed, sight-seers were required to accurately send sub-material travellers such vast distances, as without them a few fractions of a nanometer could in some cases send them lightyears away from their intended destinations, trapped in the sub-material plane. In [] TEC, during the Interstellar Crusades, almost all sight-seers were killed by the Holy Particle Congregation in a sweep to enforce the Interstellar Travel Act and completely eliminate sub-material travel.
